Bacha Khan and Wali Khan Barsi (Death Anniversary)

PSF UOM observed the death anniversary of Khudai Khitmatgar Movement leader Abdul Ghaffar "Bacha" Khan and his son National Awami Party leader Abdul Wali Khan at Canteen in Khalid Osman Hostel on january 26, 2010.

• The programme started by "Khatm" or recitation of Koran after the Isha or evening prayers.
• A "dua" or prayer was held after the Khatm for the peace of the souls of Bacha Khan and Wali Khan.
• After "dua" a formal function started hosted by Stage Secretary Aftab Khan (BBA / Swat) with his wonderful style and poetry.
• Rahmat Ali Lala (Member of PSF UOM Executive Committee) from Khwazakhela (Swat) gave an emotional address on the life of Bacha Khan and Wali Khan which brought the audience to tears.
• Ex-Main Campus President Asif Aziz "mama" also addressed the audience who arrived from Islamabad.
• Ex-President UOM Ilyas Khattak also attended the event together with other university and local dignitaries.
• The programme ended with an emotional sloganeering of "Fakhr e Afghan! Bacha Khan! Fakhr e Pukhtoon! Bacha Khan! Fakhr e Islam! Bacha Khan! Fakhr e Asia! Bacha Khan!" and "Nara e Wali! Jiye Wali! Laila Watan Majnoon Wali! Pukhtoon Wali Pukhtoon Wali!" among others.
• All the audience were presented with tea and guests with dinner.
